Val D'oca Prosecco and Food Pairing Review
Val Doca Prosecco and Food Pairing ReviewVal D’oca Prosecco is a refreshing bubbly wine that has a fantastic mineral zest  Val D'oca Prosecco is often my go-to Prosecco as it has consistently been the best Prosecco for the price and quality for the past dozen years.

What Is Prosecco?  Prosecco is a sparkling wine from the Veneto Region of Italy.  Much like Champagne has to be produced in the Champagne region of France; Prosecco needs to be produced in the Veneto Region for it to be true Prosecco.

Why is Prosecco cheaper than Champagne?
Champagne requires some serious aging in a dank and dark cellar, whereas Prosecco is bottled after harvest and sold the following year.  While many consider Champagne to be worth the high cost, others are looking for something fun, bubbly and delicious to serve at a dinner party, or a wedding.  Val D’Oca Prosecco is the perfect wine for entertaining guests and cocktail hours.

Val D’oca Prosecco is fantastic with a wide variety of foods, but here are four excellent Prosecco and Food Pairings:

Sushi and Prosecco

Prosecco one of the best wines to pair with Sushi as it has a mineral charm that goes deliciously well with the ocean kissed seafood found in Sushi.  Often in fish you can taste ‘the ocean’ and the stony flavours of Prosecco add to this unique flavour.  Val D’oca Prosecco also has a zesty citrus edge that is superb with seafood as it acts much like a squeeze of lemon that you might add to your dish.

Prosecco and Popcorn

Many people often think they need a special occasion to pop open a bottle of bubbly.  Yet you don’t, and a cozy movie night in the living room is the perfect time to enjoy a bottle of this value priced Prosecco.  Val D’oca Prosecco is fabulous with popcorn as the wine itself is slightly sweet.  The tiny bubbles also work hard to scrub your taste buds free of any salt or butter, which allows each handful of popcorn to taste as fresh as the last.

Best wine with Caprese Salad

Prosecco is the best wine with our Caprese Salad Recipe.  The acidity in the wine goes fantastic with the highly acidic tomatoes in this dish while cutting through the rich cheese fats of the Mozzarella cheese.

Wine with Breakfast

Prosecco, either on its own, or made into a Mimosa, is fantastic with breakfast and brunch dishes.  Whether it is bacon, eggs, Italian Sausage, or our Hazelnut Banana French Toast Recipe, Val D’oca Prosecco will not disappoint.  The acidic bubbles work their scrubbing action against the grease in many breakfast dishes, allowing you to taste each dish like it was your first bite.  The slight sweetness of this wine will go great with anything drenched in maple syrup, such as pancakes.
